Healthy Cookies

What you need:

  • 1 egg or egg substitute (1 TBSP ground flax seed + 3 TBSP water)

  • 2 TBSP butter or coconut oil

  • 3/4 cup sugar (white or brown)

  • 1/2 cup apple sauce, grated apple or banana

  • 1 cup flour (all purpose or whole wheat)

  • 1 + 1/4 cup quick oats (or whole oats)

  • baking powder

  • baking soda

  • salt

  • Flavourings: Choose from

    • Vanilla

    • Cocoa powder

    • Cinnamon

    • Nutmeg

    • Pumpkin spice

    • Cloves

  • Fun bits: Choose from

    • raisins, dried blueberries, dried cranberries

    • pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, flaxseeds, sunflower seeds

    • Nuts like walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, peanuts (only at home!)

    • chocolate chips, sprinkles, marshmallows, m&m’s

Kitchen Tools:

  • 2 bowls

  • 1 Fork, 2 spoons, 1 cutlery knife

  • Measuring cups - all of them

  • Measuring spoons 1 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1 TBSP

  • Baking sheet

  • Parchment paper or silicon mat (optional)

  • Scoop (Optional)

  • Cutting board or wire rack

  • Flipper
