Blueberry Cornbread muffins

Ingredients:

··        2 eggs

·        honey

·        milk

·        butter - melted

·       yellow cornmeal

·       flour

·       baking powder

·      sugar

·       salt

Blueberries - frozen, fresh or dried *

* can use raspberries or fun bits like raisins, dried cranberries, chocolate chips

TOOLS:

Muffin tin

Muffin papers

Feb 14:

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies

INGREDIENTS:

·   flour

Oatmeal - quick oats

brown sugar

egg

vanilla

salt

Baking powder or baking soda

Butter

Chocolate chips or raisins

Special TOOLS:

Baking sheet

February 28: Bannock

We will be learning about the history of this recipe which is commonly mistaken as a traditional Indigenous food.

INGREDIENTS:

flour

baking powder

water

Optional - Cooking oil (not olive oil) to fry the bread instead of baking it.

Butter - for serving

Maple syrup - to make maple butter (optional)
