POWER Snowmen and Fruit Kebabs

INGREDIENTS:

Quick oats or Whole oats

Peanut butter or Wow Butter

liquid honey (or pure maple syrup for a variation)

raisins or dried fruits or coconut

chocolate chips or hemp hearts, seeds, nuts,

Cinnamon or pumpkin spice

vanilla

sea salt

Coconut for snow

3 Fruits :

Choose from Apples, bananas, oranges, berries, melon, pineapple or your favourite

Yogurt - for drizzle

January 18: Super Power Avocado Toast

INGREDIENTS:

1 large avocado

1 clove garlic

2 TBSP Lime or lemon juice

chives (optional)

salt

black pepper

Grated cheddar cheese

salsa

1 egg per slice

½ cup Chickpeas (soft)

olive oil

cumin

paprika or chile powder

INGREDIENTS:

2 bananas

·  2 tablespoons sticky spread

Choose from:

·       Honey

·       Yogurt or cream cheese

·       Nut butter

·       Chocolate hazelnut spread

·  1/2 cup crunchy toppings,

Choose from:

apple chips

cereal like rice crisps or flakes

nuts-peanuts, almonds flakes, coconut flakes

Seeds – pumpkin seeds

Hemp hearts

February 1: Hummus and Pita Chips

INGREDIENTS:

1 can of chickpeas, liquid saved from half of can

sesame seeds or tahini (sesame seed paste) (optional)

olive oil

lemon juice (1-12 lemon or limes or bottled lemon juice)

garlic clove

ground cumin

Chile powder or cayenne pepper (optional)

salt

1 package of Corn or FlourTortillas, Pita bread or naan bread - whole wheat or plain

Veggies to dip - cucumber, celery, carrots, peppers (OPTIONAL)

February 8: WACKY CHOCOLATE CAKE

INGREDIENTS:

·       1 ½ cups flour

·       1 cup sugar

·       cocoa powder

·       baking soda

·       Salt

butter, coconut oil or vegetable oil

Red: red pepper, tomato

1/3 cup grated Cheese

Fun bits: seeds, nuts, raisins, dried fruits, hemp hearts

March 8: Pizza Boats

INGREDIENTS:

·       Pizza base: Long bread rolls, hot dog buns or zucchini or squash

·       Sauce: tomato puree, pizza sauce, pesto

·       Seasonings: oregano, basil, garlic powder, chile powder

·       Favourite toppings:  PICK at least 3!

o   Slices of peppers

o   Julienned zucchini

o   Olive slices – black or green

o   Small Pineapple chunks

o   Small pieces of Green Onion

o   Small slices of Tomatoes

o   Protein of your choice

·       Cheese – mozzarella, cheddar, feta, goat or your favourite
