Bring your own family’s favourite cookie cutters and decorations to share!

Holiday Sugar COOKIES

INGREDIENTS:

★    butter - at room temperature

★    granulated sugar or brown sugar

★    vanilla extract

★    egg or egg substitute (banana, apple sauce)

★    all-purpose flour

★    baking powder

** 1 cup sesame seeds for Kwanzaa cookies

Decorations - sprinkles, candy, raisins, coconut, chocolate chips, etc.

Icing sugar

Milk or lemon juice or water

Food colouring (optional)

TOOLS:

Apron

2 small bowls

2 medium bowls

1 cutting board

Measuring cups

Measuring spoons

Spoons, cutlery knife

Plastic wrap (optional)

Parchment paper

Rolling pin or smooth can or bottle

Cookie Cutters or plastic cup

Baking sheet

Oven * ADULT SUPERVISION

Oven mitts

Small plastic bag - ziplock
