Nacho Recipe
Fresh & Crunchy Nachos
Add colourful veggies to your day!
Some carbohydrates for energy.
Add some healthy protein for a yummy meal!
AIM for 3 colours!!
Ingredients:
Tomatoes, garlic, green onions, limes, avocados, cilantro, black olives, jalapenos,
white cheddar cheese, organic corn chips, sour cream.
Prep:
Wash all veggies
Pre-heat oven to 400F
Open cans and drain olives and jalapenos
Make fresh tomato salsa or use pre-made (see recipe)
Make fresh guacamole with avocados (see recipe)
Grate cheddar cheese
Chop olives and jalapenos into small pieces
Nacho layers:
1. Cover surface of baking sheet with organic corn chips
2. Scatter salsa on corn chips in thin layer
3. Scatter olives and jalapenos
4. Add protein now if desired. (e.g. chicken, beans, beef)
5. Sprinkle grated cheese over entire surface
6. Put tray in oven for 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted.
7. Serve with guacamole, sour cream and extra olives &jalapenos.
Crunch in and enjoy!!
