School Council has partnered with COOKSMART to bring the Elmdale Community together virtually through an online Holiday Baking event. 

Kindergarten - Grade 2 will bake at 1:00-3:00pm to make Ginger Cookies and decorate.

Grade 3 - Grade 6 will bake at 3:30-5:30pm to make Sugar Cookies and decorate

All families are welcome to join. Each family is responsible for the ingredients and decorating materials. All allergies and diets can be accommodated with substitutions.

Ingredients may include:

• butter (or coconut oil)

• (white sugar or brown sugar and/or molasses)

• vanilla extract

• 1 egg ( or aquafava, or 1 TBSP chia or ground flaxseeds in 3 TBSP water or applesauce)

• 3 cups flour (all purpose or mixture with whole wheat, Gluten-free flour substitute)

• baking powder

• Optional : Ginger, cinnamon, cloves

• Icing sugar

• Fun Bits: Raisins, sprinkles, choc chips, seeds or nuts, small candy, smarties, M&Ms

Ingredients list, kitchen tool list, recipe and zoom link will be provided. 

For safety of our community, only Elmdale families will receive the zoom password.

Only 1 registration per family for each class. Space is limited.
