Tex Mex Dip

Tex-Mex Dip

 

·       1 cup of refried beans

·       1 avocado (or 2 small)

·       1 lime

·       ½ cup sour cream

·       1 tsp cumin

·       ½ tsp garlic powder

·       ¼ tsp salt

·       ¼ tsp chile powder

·       ½ cup cheddar cheese

·       1 chopped tomato

·       ¼ cup chopped green onions

·       ¼ cup black olives - pitted

 

 

 

1.     Prepare the avocado by scooping it out into a small.

2.     Add juice from ½ lime, and ¼ - ½ tsp salt and mash together.

3.     Chop the tomato into small pieces.

4.     Grate the cheese.

5.     Cut the green onions finely chopped pieces and olives into small rings.

6.     Put the sour cream into a small bowl, and mix in the garlic powder, cumin and chile powder.

7.     Spread refried beans to bottom of a serving dish into smooth layer.

8.     Add guacamole on top of beans and spread out

9.     Add sour cream mix on top of the guacamole and spread out.

10.  Sprinkle on the shredded cheese.

11.  Add tomato, green onions, and black olives on top.

12.  Chill for 20 minutes to let the flavours meld.

 

Enjoy with corn chips, fresh veggies, crackers or with nachos!
